Health Grade 1 Review sheet for quiz on Friday

  • Literacy: Practice pg 20
  • Math: pages 377-378
  • Religion: pg 229
  • Memory words- write each word 4 times each in your red dot notebook (any, first, down, too, work)
  • Reading –“In Case of Rain”
  • Science- quiz will be on Friday.

Reminders:

  • Please check your child’s supplies. Crayons, scissors, notebooks, pencils and erasers. Please replace anything that is running low.

  • Math: pages p117 and 118
  • Religion: Our “Lenten Journey to Easter”. Keep at home. Color each part of the rainbow as you complete an act of kindness. These are ways to get closer to God.

  1. Spelling test on Wednesday, March 1st. (isn’t, couldn’t, don’t, aren’t, haven’t, can’t, won’t, wouldn’t, didn’t, weren’t)
  2. Reading Test on Friday, March 3rd. Study memory words, decode words CVVC (reading- two vowel together make a long vowel sound) contractions, base words ( helper – base word is help) and answering riddles Students will have to write about a problem and how to fix it.
  3. Math quiz on Friday, February 16th – counting by 1’s, 10’s and base ten
  4. Social Studies –“ A Good Leader”
  5. Two Famous Presidents
  6. On the Washington paper write 3 facts about George Washington. Use complete sentences and end with a period.

We are 100 days smarter ! First Grade celebrated 100 days of school today. We can count to 100 by 2’s, 5’s, 10’s and 25 and we can write 100 words. We had so much fun and a fabulous celebration.

Thank you to everyone that sent in goodies.

 

Homework

  1. ELA: Spelling test tomorrow. Writing; “My Family tells me 100 times to……”worksheet.
  2. Reading; read “The Springle Spangle Talent Show”.
  3. Math: 100 Days Counting Book. Cut the number cards out and paste them in order. Cut out the pages of the book and paste.
  4. Science: Food group fun worksheet.

  1. Tuesday February 14th. American Cancer Society Day. Wear pink or white.
  2. Valentine ’s Day party tomorrow. Please send in goodies.
  3. If you are starting vacation early please let us know. Vacation package will be going home on Friday.

  2. Christmas Party on December 22ndIf you are going on vacation or will not be in school prior to Christmas vacation, please send in a note. Students will have to complete a reading and math pack over the vacation.
  1. For the New Year- Students need 2 soft pencil cases. One case for pencils and erasers and the other case for scissors, glue and twistable. Please check your child’s supplies. Students need scissors, 4 glue sticks twistable and crayons every day.
